WHAT CAN THERMAGE DO?
Thermage can effectively and safely treat skin on most parts of the body, including the face, eyes, lips, neck and decolletage area, tummy, arms, hands, thighs and buttocks.
On the face, Thermage can treat sagging skin over the cheeks/jowls, saggy neck skin or “turkey neck”, lack of definition of the lips and jaw line, as well as wrinkles and fine lines. Around the eyes, Thermage can treat dark undereye bags, sagging of the upper eyelids or “hooding”, rough texture of the eyelids, wrinkles and fine lines. IS THERE ANY SPECIAL PREPARATION OR FOLLOW-UP REGIME?
No pre-procedure preparation is needed. Post treatment, no special care is required, aside from the basic skin maintenance and sunscreens of a regular skincare regime. Most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. Some patients experience minor redness and swelling – this is temporary and will usually resolve within 24 hours.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE FEEL LIKE?
Thermage is virtually painless as it now comes with the patented Comfort PulseTechnology (CPT), which produces gentle vibrations during the delivery of the radiofrequency waves to disrupt pain signals, thereby creating an almost painless experience. In addition, the treatment diffuses cooling spray to the treated areas of your skin, which further enhances the comfortable experience. In fact, as a testament to how comfortable the treatment is, some patients actually fall asleep during the procedure!
HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?
Thermage treatments average about 45 minutes for the face and up to an hour and a half for other parts of the body, depending on the size, location and condition of the area to be treated. Since it is a relatively short procedure and only needs to be performed once, it fits easily into your busy schedule.
